As a city, San Antonio has a lot to celebrate. From the food to the sports teams to the endless activities and things to do, it's a place many are proud to be from. This spring, there's a food festival in San Antonio taking place that's bringing together all of these aspects and more and it's going to be one the city will never forget. The pre-Fiesta event known as Alamo Heights Night is back with a bang this Friday, April 17 from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the University of the Incarnate Word. This is the 34th year that Alamo Heights Night has been up and running and for good reason. The purpose of the festival is to highlight food, drink, entertainment, and more from some of San Antonio’s best restaurants, caterers, and bands. Who said Fiesta is all we have to look forward to this April? Hotcakes, Skyrocket, Finding Friday, and a Mariachi Band are all said to be performing on the fest's multiple stages. Midway through the day, kids of all ages will be thrilled to see a carnival get set up with so many activities! You can play laser tag, go rock climbing, roll around in hamster balls, and more. This year I decided to dive head first into the world of fiesta because I’ve officially made SA my home post graduation. I spent last night night at Alamo Heights Night drinking Rosé Cider, one frozen marg (because what’s a celebration in SA without one), and roasted corn on the cob with chili lime seasoning and salt 😜 If you live in SA, what are you favorite fiesta events?
