It's prime time for flower blooms in Georgia. The spring and summer seasons at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens make for a colorful floral adventure, and you may have been missing its whimsical displays during pandemic closures. But get ready to lace up your kicks again, because the gardens are finally reopening next week for you to go enjoy the beauty.\nThe Atlanta Botanical Gardens has decided to take the leap and follow in the footsteps of other businesses' to open after a long two months of being closed due to COVID-19.\nTo keep guests and staff safe from the spread of the virus, on March 14 the gardens announced they were going to close, but anticipated to reopen on March 30.\nDue to Governor Brian Kemp's shelter-in-place extension back in April, they have remained closed — until now. Starting Saturday, May 23, the gardens will reopen their doors to all visitors looking to spend their days frolicking the flowers.\nThose who are members get a little bit of a headstart though. The new theme is, "Alice's Wonderland Reimagined."\nThe difference with this theme will be even bigger plant-sculptures.
