As the pandemic continues into June, Gov. Greg Abbott continues to update residents on where the Lone Star State stands with the novel coronavirus. This week, Abbott shared a few updates for his fellow citizens, and as of yesterday, a new one was made. He announced Wednesday evening that Texas ranks No. 1 for most COVID-19 recoveries in all of America. Abbott's announcement not only included that Texas is now at the top for most recoveries, but also that yesterday marked the fewest hospitalizations for COVID-19 in the past two months. It's estimated that 45,858 Texans have recovered as of today by the Texas Health and Human Services, or HHS. The governor has been sharing a lot of stats related to COVID-19 from the HHS website lately. While there is still no cure for COVID-19, more Texans are shown to be recovering now than they have in the last several weeks.
