With many states being weeks into shelther-in-place orders, the snacks might start running out (if they haven't already). Southerners can now add Girl Scout Cookies to their daily lineup. Girl Scout Cookies in Tennessee are at a surplus and are looking for happy homes right now.\n"These young ladies are entrepreneurs," said CEO of the Southern Appalachians chapter, Lynne Fugate. "They set goals, and acquired inventory to sell. It funds all the fun things they want to do and their community service projects."\nThe Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians in East Tennessee has close to 100,000 cookies still to sell for this coming season.\nSpring is normally a time when the green-uniformed girls go door-to-door or build outdooors stands to sell their product. Howevever, due to current circumstances, this is no longer possible.\nThis leaves local residents to buy their favorite flavors from each chapter's website only. With no Girl Scouts outdoors, local chapters are left with thousands of cookies to sell.\nCurrently, the East Tennessee chapter has 95,663 boxes left to sell. Each box costs only $4.
