Many people know and love the one, the only NBA legend Black Mamba. Today, we lost one of the all-time greats. Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash in California. He was forty-one years old.\nThe New York Post reported that Bryant was one of four people traveling in his private helicopter when a fire broke out in Calabasas, California today. Due to the flames, rescue attempts were hindered.\nTMZ Sports revealed that the fire sent the chopper spiraling from the sky and that there were no survivors. The scene of the crash is still under investigation. Five people were involved in the crash, one of whom was his thirteen-year-old daughter, Gianna, who passed with him.\nKobe played with the Los Angeles Lakers for two decades, winning five championships. He's also known and loved by many to be a man of character, heart, and dedication, loyal to his family, team, and friends.\nHis shocking passing came only shortly after he gave a sentimental toast to LeBron James, who had placed him on the league's all-time greatest scoring list.\nThere is no doubt that he and his daughter will leave a hole in the hearts of not only their community but the world who mourns their loss.
