Los Angeles Will Give You A Free COVID-19 Test If You Have Any Symptoms
Stay safe Los Angeles. ❤︎
Are you wondering where to get free COVID-19 testing in Los Angeles? You are not alone. Mayor Eric Garcetti made an important announcement on Twitter this evening. No-cost testing is now available to all LA county residents who exhibit symptoms.
"But now for the first doesn't restrict by age or preexisting medical conditions. Anybody with symptoms can now sign up for a test," said Garcetti.
You canon the County of Los Angeles website. According to the site, "At this time, testing is only for people with symptoms, such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms can now book a same or next day appointment."
You'll be walked through the entire process on how to book your visit online.
When registering, you'll be asked if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms as listed above.
If the answer is yes, the follow-up question asks if you are a senior aged 65 years or older who is suffering a chronic medical condition.
Then, you will be required to fill out a form with your full name, email, phone number, date of birth, sex, ethnicity, and address.
The L.A. County Public Health Department's website also includes a host of useful information about Coronavirus testing.
In the frequently asked questions section, it addresses common inquiries and patient concerns regarding testing capacity, limitations, and health safety best practices.
For those wondering how to make or purchase a protective face covering, Garcetti posted an informative video outlining city requirements.
"If you're picking up groceries or shopping for a prescription or visiting any other essential business, you need to cover your face," he said.
He said a bandana, scarf, or something made with fabric will work well. The city-sponsored site LA Protects also sells standard face masks online to individuals who need them.
