The reaction is priceless.\nView this post on Instagram It’s LGBT History Month this month in the UK and it’s a time to recognise all the powerful movements that led to someone like me, being able to do something like this. There is still a way to go, but one day the whole world will be as accepting as those who saw this that day and applauded the most significant moment of my life. Feeling that much love and happiness from everyone around us is something I’ll never forget 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈 . LGBT History Month is celebrated in February in the UK to coincide with the abolition of Section 28 in 2003. Section 28 was a law that forbid any educational establishment from promoting the acceptance of homosexuality. This made it very hard to punish any person who bullied or discriminated against anyone for being gay. In the USA and Canada, LGBT history month is celebrated in October to coincide with National Coming Out Day. . I am proud to say that I am able to be myself today because of those who came before me and fought for my rights. The world would be very different without their tireless efforts to strive for equality. Apologies for the really long caption!! There are so many magical experiences to last a lifetime.
