Publix just got even more amazing—we know, how is that possible, right? Well, with the grand opening of the brand-new Publix Greenwise Market in Boca Raton, the hype is very real.

The new organic market is the first model of the concept to debut in South Florida, with plans to expand across the state in 2020. It will even feature a new bar and interactive “experience” zones.

Shopping was already a pleasure at Publix, but now, it’s gearing up to be an experience as unique to Florida as our beloved theme parks.

Publix has really gone above and beyond to enhance their customer experience with this new model.

Upon entering the store, customers can grab one of 10 local craft beers or five wines on tap at the POUR bar. If you’re looking for something a little tamer, there is also kombucha or nitro cold brew coffee on tap, as well.

The cups fit right into the smart carts, which even have a slot for smartphones and a hook for purses.

Pours will cost $5-$7.

Then there’s the EATS zone, featuring a wood-fired pizzeria selling slices, a salad bar with 10 prepared soups, and a deli offering artisan sandwiches.

The CUTS department is where you’ll get all your meat and sustainably sourced seafood and shellfish.

And in the FINDS department, you can browse a selection of artisanal cheeses, as well as half-ounce samples of the four wines offered each week.

The new market is aimed at foodies and health-conscious customers, a mash-up between Whole Foods and Lucky’s, but without breaking the bank.

Both the Boca Raton and Lakeland locations are making their debuts today, Thursday, December 12, and will offer guests free samples of food and reusable grocery bags.

Throughout the new year, Publix is looking to expand its Greenwise Market locations across the Sunshine State. Fort Lauderdale already has a confirmed location set, and we can’t wait to see this new model expand to even more Florida cities.
