Things Are Finally Starting To Look Up As Miami Could Be Next For Weed Decriminalization
#PotDaddy is in full support - we will call this a joint effort.
Miami pot-smokers may finally get their legalization wish. There's athat's currently pending, and, if passed, will take effect in 2020. The bill promises decriminalization of pot in the sunshine state and even more relaxation on weed policies for Miami-Dade County, where tickets are piling up for weed possession.
In the wake of the new bill, lawyer John Morgan, aka "PotDaddy," tweeted his support of the full legalization of recreational weed. It's been retweeted over 400 times and has over 1,500 likes so far.
“I have decided that I am too old to care. I believe that #marijuana should be legal!!,” John Morgan tweeted yesterday. “I think we have time and I think there is money to get it done...Let’s do this maybe, forget Tallahassee!"
Morgan signed the tweet with "#PotDaddy," the outspoken lawyer's self-appointed nickname. And he's used the hashtag before. Yesterday's tweet is the most recent of many in which Morgan pushes for the legalization of pot in Florida.

According to the Miami New Times, the new bill would go "beyond decriminalization efforts" in areas like Miami-Dade County. Miami police have been issuing tickets for weed possession since 2015 when they were barred from arresting people for it. Issued tickets have skyrocketed ever since.

On June 27, Morgan tweeted, "RETWEET if you support the full legalization of marijuana in Florida!" It retweeted over 10,000 times.
Some people are not thrilled with the lawyer's blunt tweets, expressing their distaste in the comments. On Morgan's most recent post about weed, one Twitter user commented, "Pot is the least of our problems right now."
Some, however, fully support Morgan. Another user wrote, "Can I get a HELL YEAH!! Now we have some real pull on our side! LEGALIZE MARIJUANA! John Morgan for President in 2020!!"
Whatever your stance on weed, we can all agree that PotDaddy is a hilarious nickname to give oneself.
