Single and ready to mingle? If you are in Florida you couldn't be in a more single-friendly place, according to WalletHub. Florida has been ranked as the #1 state for singles based on Florida's nightlife, restaurants, and dating destinations.\nWalletHub compared the 50 states based on 28 indicators of dating-friendliness and Florida came out as number one out of all 50 states. Their list was determined by different key list factors, such as dating economics, dating opportunities, and romance opportunities.\nThey broke down these indicators into metrics such as the number of single adults, gender balance between men and women, coffee, and beer prices, crime rate and nightlife per capita. Florida beat out competition California, Texas, New York, and Pennsylvania, which makes up the top five of the list.\nFlorida had the highest number of restaurants per capita and it placed eighth in the most movie theaters per capita. Interestingly, Florida only came in the middle of the list when it came to online or mobile dating opportunities. From WalletHub's list, Florida is the epicenter of going out and socializing, that's where it's strength in the dating world lies.\nLast year, WalletHub also released a list of the best and worst cities for singles, where they ranked 180 U.S. cities across similar indicators that they used for the states.
