The D23 Expo 2019 brought a wave of hype during the summertime when Disney announced the extensive updates that would be taking place at Epcot over the next few years. Guests were promised brand new worlds, thrilling rides, interactive hotels, and more. And true to Disney fashion, they’re already delivering on bringing those dreams to reality with the promising update & reveal of the vehicles for the new Ratatouille ride, where you’ll get a rat’s-eye-view of the world! The movie gave us a glimpse of the world through Remy’s eyes, and the new ride will do just that in real-time. Shrinking guests down to the size of a rat is no small task, but it’s nothing Disney can’t handle. Walt Disney World | Disney Parks Blog There’s a lot happening at Epcot, with the park moving to be divided and remodeled into four new neighborhoods: World Discovery, World Celebration, World Nature, and World Showcase. The new Ratatouille ride will be found (where else?) in the French pavilion in World Showcase. A tiny (by comparison) car in the shape of a rat sits on top of a platform that will rush guests through the maze-like kitchen. It seems production is coming along smoothly, so we can look forward to that summer release! In summer 2020, the French pavilion will also be getting a new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, so you can fuel up after your adventure with some delicious French food.
