In an attempt to revive Florida's tourism market, a new campaign, "Love Florida," is encouraging Sunshine State residents to travel within their state.

Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Visit Florida, the state's tourism marketing arm, is launching a new campaign directed at Floridians to encourage in-state travel as a way to hopefully spur the state's economic revival.

The campaign will remind Floridians that their home state offers world-class tourism opportunities.

The "Love Florida" marketing movement will direct state residents to visit places that aren't on the traditional Florida vacation bucket list.

The campaign is using the hashtag #LoveFL to highlight the state's attractions to staycationers.

Fox 13 reported that tourism fueled more than 1.5 million jobs and $91 billion in revenue for Florida in 2019, and dropped more than 60% in 2020.
