Full moons in October
With clear conditions, you’ll be able to catch the celestial shows at 5:05 p.m. on October 1, and 10:49 a.m. on October 31.
The first full moon is called a Micro Full Moon, as it will appear slightly smaller and less than usual.
Halloween’s full moon is known as a Blue Moon, though not because of its color.
A Blue Moon is calculated as the third full moon in an astronomical season.
Trick or treaters will be for quite a surprise this season, so be sure to step outside and admire the glowing skies this month.
