While Florida’s sweltering climate may not be ideal for those of us who don’t like humidity, it’s just about perfect for certain exotic animals that are otherwise foreign to our native land. Animal Kingdom was one of the first to capitalize on the idea, creating the free-range safari of African animals, but now a brand-new safari is opening across Florida’s plains, and it’s way cheaper than Disney: Wild Florida’s drive-through safari park. Opening Saturday, December 21, Wild Florida's drive-through is an expansion of their current park that will span across 85-acres. It will give guests a whole new way to experience exotic animals in a more natural setting. Originally the focus was primarily on airboat alligator tours, but now many new animals will be making their debut on land here soon. Cofounder, Sam Haught, said it was Wild Florida’s mission to have a space for the animals that was as natural and open as possible. This is not your typical zoo enclosure, and the team has gone above and beyond the requirements for their animals.
