White Castle Is Still Drawing Ridiculous Crowds In Arizona & It’s Causing Chaos (PHOTOS)
There's still a 2-hour wait time to eat inside.
Back on October 23, Arizona's first-ever White Castle had its grand opening in Scottsdale. The 24-hour fast-food chain should be open all day but due to high demand, they temporarily changed their hours. Now, less than a week later the restaurant is still drawing ridiculous crowds and it's getting out of control.
The newest addition to the White Castle chain first announced its new location in Arizona last year. With people lining up as early as 96 hours before the grand opening, the new chain had to temporarily change its hours to keep up with demand, according to AZ Family.
White Castle is currently open from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m. until further notice.
Almost after a week since the grand opening, crowds can still be seen waiting outside the chain. One Twitter user stated that there was still a 2.5-hour drive-thru wait time and a 3.5 hour dine-in wait time, as of Sunday afternoon.
With another user stating that there is still a 2-hour dine-in wait-time, as of two hours ago. "I’m doing it. I grew up in Indy, have enjoyed & gotten sick a few times eating the original bomb burger....White Castle. They just opened their newest location last week in Scottsdale. 2 hour line but I’m here, no turning back now."
We drove to the new spot and witnessed firsthand the continued mania. Police officers can be seen directing the flow of traffic going into the parking lot and drive-thru on Pima Road.
The parking lot to the nearby Starbucks even had signs around warning against parking and walking to the White Castle line. There was an unmarked police vehicle waiting in the Starbucks parking lot, perhaps to ticket anyone who ignored the signs.
One Twitter user recently tweeted that there continues to be over an hour wait time for the new fast-food spot. " Meanwhile *still* a 2-3 hour wait at White Castle in Scottsdale. Damn hypebeasts, chill out and give the workers a break."
With over an hour wait time still going strong, it's possible that there will continue to be crowds waiting to get their slider fix. If you're thinking about stopping by to avoid long wait times, it's probably a good idea to wait it out a bit longer.
