No, it's not just you—the Phoenix heat record for July has officially been broken and dubbed the hottest month ever in the Valley.
The National Weather Service announced that the city had an average temperature of 99 F this month based on "preliminary numbers."

The old record was set back in 2009, with an average temp of 98.3 F, it also tied with July 2011.
Talk about a close call.
