Some California Beaches Will Be Hit By Huge Waves & High Tides This Weekend
Be careful out there!
You might want to change up your weekend plans as some California beaches will experience hazardous rip currents, breaking waves, and high tides.
National Weather Service issued a Beach Hazards Warning today at noon through Monday morning as parts of the state's coastline will have unsafe conditions.
Dangerous rip currents and breaking waves due to elevated surf of 6 to 9 feet. Large high tides near 7 feet each evening.

The areas affected include the central coast of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara counties, the coastal regions of Ventura, and all Los Angeles counties.
NWS explains that there's a risk of drowning in the ocean due to strong rip currents and that waves can sweep you off of rocks and the coast.
If you happen to go to any beaches, it's recommended that you steer clear of rocks near the water and look out for any posted signs or warnings.
