Florida's Phase 2 Starts Today & Here's What All You Can Do

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced during a press conference held at Universal Studios on Wednesday that the second phase of reopening would begin today, Friday, June 5. With the exception of a few counties, a lot of different spots will open their gates, including some theme parks. Here's what you can look forward to doing now as Florida enters phase 2.
Some of the changes you can expect to see include restaurants allowing bar top seating, bars, and pubs opening at 50% indoor capacity, along with retail stores andat opening full capacity.
You'll even be able to scratch that itch for ink again as personal services likecan reopen. It might be time to crack open that sketchbook of ideas.
Acupuncture studios, tanning salons, and massage establishments can also welcome visitors again under the Florida Department of Health's guidance.

Social distancing rules and increased sanitation methods will apply to all of these reopenings.
Phase 2 moves forward as a part of DeSantis’ Plan for Florida's Recovery. For now, it will exclude Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties — which were some of the most by the novel coronavirus.
Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties will remain in phase 1 until further notice.
As phase 2 comes into effect today, so does the reopening ofto the public. Theme park enthusiasts can finally make a return to their favorite coasters and magical lands, just in time for a summer escape.
DeSantis' Florida Recovery Plan still encourages citizens to practice social distancing, gather in small groups, and implement their own increased hygiene standards.
So far, Governor DeSantis has given no word as to how long he expects phase 2 to last.
