Rental prices have certainly been on the rise in Central Florida. Rents can cost you more than $1,200 per month. However, there are some cheap neighborhoods in Orlando that are affordable to the prospective renter.

It's easy to assume that the prime locations in the city are locked out to those on a budget, or to get an affordable place to live, you'll have to sacrifice safety.

That won't have to be the case in Orlando, where most of the city's areas are relatively safe. So you won't have to buy five locks and put bars on your windows to feel secure.

On the contrary, these six cheap areas are just as much in demand as the more popular ones like Thornton Park near downtown and Dr. Phillps near Universal theme park.

You will still be around the region's famous shopping districts, within driving distance to recreation and have access to transit options. These six cheap neighborhoods prove that you can still live well, while your bank account breathes easily.
