Miami Heat Is Bringing Early Christmas Cheer To Fans In Florida This Year
Giving back to fans is the second best thing they're good at!
If you follow the Miami Heat team account or any of the players’ personally accounts on social media, you know they’re basically one never-ending hype train. When they’re not dominating the courts, they’re either geeking out over their own gear or doing something special for the community that continues to cheer them on. And this year, they’ve been bringing some early Christmas cheer to their devoted Florida fans.
Through the month of December, the team has been bringing fire to the courts with recent wins against the Knicks and 76ers. But in between all the training and games, they still found time to bring the warmth of holiday cheer to their community.
Over the weekend, Meyers Leonard and his wife Elle surprised families from the Miami Cancer Institute and treated them to a holiday shopping trip. Meanwhile, Udonis Haslem was holding his 9th Annual Holiday Party for the Udonis Haslem Children’s Foundation. Haslem could be found channeling his inner kid with other young fans, shooting nerf guns and having fun at an arcade.
Bam Adebayo was busy this weekend too, running a toy drive where he gifted honor roll students with both fun and practical purchases to get them ready for high education.
Earlier in December, Adebayo and Derrick Jones Jr. also spent a day with two special families from the Chapman Partnership for homeless families and the Miami Lighthouse for blind and visually impaired.
The two players spent an afternoon with the families enjoying a ride on the Polar Express Train.
The Heat is known for sharing the love and hype with their Florida communities. After the release of their new ViceWave jerseys, Chris Bosh revealed a brand-new basketball court in Hialeah, Florida, painted in the bright ViceWave colors.
The court was sponsored by Nike and Miami Heat for the youth team in the area.
The team even partnered with American Airlines to surprise an entire flight of passengers with their own ViceWave jerseys.
Ahh, it's good to be Floridian this Christmas!
