When you think of summertime, you might think of participating in outdoor activities, bar-b-ques and cookoffs. While many events are being put on hold this spring and summer, we can look forward to fall events still happening. This event in Atlanta this fall will have all things chili and all things alcohol.
The 2020 Atlanta Chili Cookoff is happening in Brookhaven Park on Saturday, October 12, 2020. Some vendors will also have "Brunswick Stew" if you're all chili'd out by the end of the day.
Not only will there be restaurants participatingbut amateur teams will also be in attendance showing off their skills.
There will be more than 75 vendors set up around the park so you might find yourself eating chili for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There are actually two different general admission tickets you can purchase: Option 1 and Option 2.
Option 1 is for those who aren't big eaters and only cost $10, but still want to attend the event. Option 2 is unlimitedsamples for $20, which is still a pretty sweet deal.
You can also purchase a VIP ticket that includes sampling starting a whole hour earlier (12:00 p.m. instead of 1:00 p.m.) than those with a general admission ticket.
You'll also have access to anand unlimited samples for just $30.
A few of the alcohol choices include Cold Devils Backbone, Goose IPA, Bud Light beer, red and white wine and Smirnoff and Bulleit Bourbon cocktails.
You're allowed to bring blankets, chairs, cameras and even your pet to this event. There'll be live music playing all day, so having a set up in the grass might be the move.
Tickets go on sale for this event on Monday, June 1, 2020, at 12:00 a.m. This is a popular event, so make sure you purchase tickets ASAP.
