This All-New Boozy Neon Mini-Golf Bar Coming To Atlanta Is The First In U.S. (PHOTOS)
It's a nostalgic wonderland.
Remember the good old days when you used to play "putt-putt" as a kid? It seems like such a '90s thing since it's honestly pretty hard to find mini-golf nowadays. You can now relive those sacred childhood moments (but on a bigger and boozier scale) because mini-golf in Atlanta will be on a whole new level next year with this neon-lit putting course and bar.
Puttshack is a mini-golf course on steroids and this time, it's for grown-ups. The London-based adult playground is opening its very first location in the U.S. and Atlanta is the lucky winner. The neon-lit nostalgic wonderland will join the ATL community in 2020 at The Interlock in West Midtown.
This place is not your average miniature golf adventure, it's better. Think of it as a mix between an arcade and putt-putt. The massive, vibrant putting greens mimic skeeball and use a high-tech scoring and tracking system. "The game is powered by a technology unique to Puttshack," said Puttshack CMO, Susan Walmesley.
Susan also told Narcity that the new 25,000-square-foot Atlanta location is expected to open later next year, depending on construction. Although prices are not yet available, we can expect the nine-hole games to cost roughly $12.
You can double your fun with other games like bowling, cup pong and classic arcade games. Then, triple your fun with the full-service bar. This place seriously screams nostalgia with a twist.
Expect to drink super fun and crazy cocktails like the Gold Digger with Pampero Blanco rum, Crème de Banane liqueur, bergamot purée, and gold dust or the Date Night with popcorn-infused Zacapa, elderflower cordial, Velvet Falernum, pineapple, coconut syrup, and tonic.
If the Atlanta menu is anything like the U.K. one, you can look forward to munching on some super yummy bar food like pizza, burgers, nachos, and wings.
"We will develop our US menu offering early 2020," says Susan. The U.K. locations serve slushies and loaded Mason jar milkshakes, so fingers crossed we will get to enjoy those here too.
Susan shared that we can "absolutely" expect a super fun grand opening event and special deals, so keep an eye out for an opening date. Narcity will update when further details are available.
