Not only do local farms and cornfields turn into haunted attractions during the month of October, but so do most amusement parks. When the sun goes down, the monsters come out at Six Flags Over Georgia. Every year, Fright Fest in Georgia brings new attractions and experiences to the table and this year, they are frightening.

Six Flags Fright Fest kicked off on Sept. 21 and will go until Nov. 2, so you have plenty of time to get your scare on. There are usually a good amount of screams that come from this park in general, but there are even more at night.

Terrifying creatures like zombies, ghosts and clowns will occupy the park as the sun goes down. You better have some good shoes on because you will be doing a lot of running when you visit.

With each new season brings new attractions and shows during Fright Fest. This also means it gets scarier and scarier each year. There are new scare zones, haunted houses/mazes and shows.

To name a few themes there are Junkyard Dogs (scare zone), Alien Abduction (haunted maze), Piggy's Bloodshed (haunted maze) and The Uprising: Nightly Call Of The Dead (show). Sound great, right?

The scare zones are something different that this year has brought. Walking through the park, you might run into a "zone" that has your worst nightmares, and to get to the other side, you have to go through them. You never know where they are going to pop up.

There are four live performance shows that makes you feel like you are right on set in a horror movie. There are also three haunted mazes you can try to conquer.

The 30-hour coffin challenge is also back for another year at Fright Fest, but this time they are adding live actors to stand around you to creep you out to your core. If you are the winner, you will win $600.
