Light shows are all the rave once the holidays roll in. Any opportunity to get an amazing photo and gaze at unbelievable art, we'll gladly take! There's one show in particular that has been gracing Austin since 2014 and now, the 2019 installations for Creek Show have just been announced. We can already tell this year's display is going to be more beautiful than ever. Get your cameras ready, because Austinite or not, you're in for a real treat.

From Thursday, November 7 until Sunday, November 17, you can come out to Waller Creek in downtown Austin at night to see the most incredible display of light-based art installations. The goal for Waller Creek is for it to eventually be turned into a series of urban parks, and this kind of free event attracts exactly the kind of attention it needs. That's right, it's totally free to those who want to come out and see it.

This year, the installations will consist of Aurora, Downstream Upcycle, The Ghost Boat, and more. The installations will be both on and off land, providing a completely unique experience for each one.

For those who want an exclusive preview of Creek Show before the crowds start to get insane, there's a preview party taking place on Wednesday, November 6! For just $25, you can see the 2019 installations from 6 to 10 p.m. the day before Creek Show opens to the public. Tickets are available on their official Eventbrite page and we highly recommend getting one for the best possible photos.

If you're not from Austin and can't make it down here for the show, don't worry. There's plenty of other cool events taking place in the great state of Texas. We can't wait for the Dia De Los Muertos celebration in Houston, new exhibits at the Perot Museum in Dallas, and much more. Holidays, here we come!
