If you're a true Austin native, then you've been to or at least heard of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. This awesome location in ATX is perfect for pictures, sightseeing and appreciating nature. Next month, you'll have a great excuse to visit the center yet again, or for the first time, because Luminations at the Wildflower Center in Austin this December will be more epic than any year before.

Luminations at the Wildflower Center is an event that takes place every year where the beloved gardens are illuminated by thousands of luminarias, a traditional Mexican Christmas lantern.

Not only will the gardens look truly magical throughout the duration of the event, but you'll also be graced with aerial dance performances, live music and lots of other awesome activities.

The event will take place from Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, December 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. each night. These extended hours are rare for the garden, so it'll be one of your only chances to experience them at night!

Tickets for Luminations are free for children four and under, $13 for children and adults five years and older if you're a member, and $18 if you're not. They can be purchased on the official website, here.

You can also find the full list of entertainers on their website.

Food and drink will be provided throughout each evening, so you're not missing out on anything no matter what day you decide on going.

We recommend arriving even earlier than 6 p.m., that way you're able to get some awesome pictures during golden hour. There's a reason it's one of the most popular locations in Austin, after all!
