With a new year rolling in, a lot of people starts cracking down on calories or cleansing with an assortment of green juices. As much as we're for taking care of your body, we also down with a well-deserved cheat day. There's an entire day dedicated to fulfilling your sweet tooth in North Carolina and it's completely affordable to attend. This brand new donut festival in Charlotte is the best way to ring in 2020.
The inaugural CLT Donut Festival promotes the reigning champion of breakfast foods and desserts: the donut. On Feb. 23, Norfolk Hall will transform into donut central, with a number of local vendors coming to one location to shower you with sugar.
General admission tickets come with 10 donut samples that you can wash down with six sample drinks. These beverages range from coffee and juices to smoothies.
Currently, there's only a $10 difference between a general admission ticket and a VIP ticket. The main difference is that you can elect to finish your donut off with booze with a VIP ticket. Those tickets come with four Suffolk Punch Craft Brews and/or Truly Spiked Seltzer.
If you're looking for a stronger drink, the cash bar will also be stocked with mimosas, bloody marys, and Irish coffee.
