If crystal blue waters call to you the way they do to us, this secret spot is the perfect place to visit and enjoy nature's bounty. Colorado's South Fork Mineral Creek features a turquoise pool fed by a stunning waterfall. Like something out of a photo, the creek, and surrounding areas are a picturesque escape from city life.\nYou can camp in the nearby South Mineral Creek Campground and hike around several trails, including the one that takes you to the vibrant-colored waterfalls and pools.\nSouth Fork Mineral Creek is filled with aquamarine waters cascading over rocks, which makes the whole scene look like something out of a photo.\nThere is no entry fee for the trail, but the campground is $19 a night May to September and free during the offseason.\nIf you are bold enough to brave the cold water, you can hop in for a quick dip.\nTo get to this destination, you'll have to cross Clear Creek, which is just a short distance from the campground. Be ready to get your feet a little wet, but we promise the stop is worth it.\nAlong the way, you will even pass a double waterfall, perfect for more photo ops.\nThe double falls are only about a mile from the campground and the whole hike is considered great for all skill levels.\nThough the area is not open year-round, you can visit from May 1 until September 30. You can reach the creek by car if you don't want to hike the whole thing, though a four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended.\nView this post on Instagram Home is wherever I’m with you ☾♡ #brothers #littermates A post shared by Kaladin & Storm (@kaladin_and_storm_adventures) on May 23, 2019 at 10:06am PDT\nDepending on the time of year, you might catch a glimpse of some local wildlife like elk or deer.\nIf you've got furry friends, you can bring them along too.\nView this post on Instagram Celebrating 4 years married to this crazy human.
