A Brand New Tulip Festival Is Coming To Texas This Month
Poston Gardens will have their first tulip festival in Waxahachie.
Tulips are blooming all over Texas and they are ready to make your next profile picture great. Get ready because Waxahachie is having a brand new tulip festival called Tulipablooza at Poston Gardens in Waxahachie.
On March 30 from noon to 5 p.m. you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views of the tulips, a picnic area, food trucks and live music. Some of the vendors for the vent include Dippin Dots and Pecos Petes Soda with plenty more to come. Food trucks at the event will be Events by BJ Panini Sandwiches and Tommy's Hot Dogs.
There are two types of tickets available for the event. One is $10 for general admission. The other is $40 which is a VIP ticket that gives you access to a VIP section and a food and wine showcase. The VIP ticket also gives you admission to the Poston Gardens the day of the event. No matter what ticket you get you will be able to pick tulips from their 60 acres for $3 per stem.
The tulip farm is open during the week Monday through Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. During this time you can purchase a petal pass for $20 which grants you general admission and 20 tulips. The pass also offers a discount for any addition tulips instead of $3 a stem you'd only pay $1.
On Saturday and Sunday, the park is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to their website, there are a million tulips planted in the park!
Part of the proceeds from the event will go to the YMCA and people with intellectual developmental disabilities.
