Rose gardens are simply beautiful, and Tyler, Texas, has the largest one in the entire country. To celebrate, they are having a massive four day Texas Rose Festival this month. This year the festival will take place from October 17 to 20, where most of the events taking place will be totally free.

There is truly no better place to stop and smell the roses. The festival crowns a Rose Queen every year, and you'll even have a chance to sit for a spot of tea with her. The very first day of the event will host a magnificent rose display. Artists from all over will set up their work made entirely out of roses. After the exhibit is over, you'll be able to join in a plant sale to take some of these gorgeous plants home.

On Friday the event will host the coronation where you can meet the next Rose Queen. Tickets to the show are $10 to $70. Saturday is when all of the great fun takes off. You can enjoy an actual parade of roses. The parade is free, but there are a few tables available for purchase in case you prefer to sit.

After the parade, there will be another plant sale followed by a rose-themed arts and crafts fair. The fair has everything from interactive features to wall art. You are also welcome to attend an off-site garden party at this time for more rose-themed fun.

The last day of the fest will be an all vendors day where more than 70 vendors will be in attendance. You will be able to enter for free, but you should bring cash for all the goodies you might find.
