It's getting to that point in Texas where the weather is at 100 degrees (and sometimes even higher) which means doing things outside is getting kind of hard. Thankfully we found a spot that provides enough shade and cool water to keep you chill during these hot summer days. Lake Tawakoni State Park in Wills Point, Texas provides a great place to swim and so much shade you could even bring your favorite puppy along with you.\nThe lake has 376 acres of forest which are more than enough for you to find the perfect tree to sit under. On a good breezy day, you can even sit and relax on the five-mile lakeshore. You don’t need a fishing license for this lake and if you’re lucky enough to have a boat, you can take it along with you to the lake. They also have equipment rentals that vary in price depending on the season.\nIf you really like the view of the lake but don’t really feel like getting into the water, you can explore their five miles of trails where you can hike or bike depending on your preference.\nView this post on Instagram Partied like it was 1776 🇺🇸💥 A post shared by Stella Gian (@stellagians) on Jul 5, 2019 at 10:25am PDT\nCamping at the park starts at just $20 and works its way up depending on amenities.
