Pumpkin spiced items are already hitting the shelves but we plan on soaking up every last bit of summer that we can. Often during the summer months, it's hard to find things to do in Plano with your dog. Lucky for us, Plano is having their K-9 Kerplunk Dog Swim this Sunday, September 8. The event lets you enjoy the day with you pup by bringing him/her to the Parks and Recreation event held at Oak Point Recreation Center. You and your pup will be able to soak up with water and sun in the outdoor pool from 9 a.m. to noon. While you hang around, let your dog socialize with other dogs and maybe even play a few games of fetch. Pets who attend the event don't have to be on a leash but they do have to be up to date on all their shots. If all the excitement makes you a bit hungry, the event will also have lemonade and snacks for all to enjoy. While the event is of no charge, they ask guests to give any type of donation to the Plano Animal Shelter. Once you're done hanging out by the pool, why not stop by Go Ape for some treetop fun.
