You Can Watch Hot Air Balloons From Across The World In Texas This Summer
The Texas sky just got more beautiful!
As Texans, we have tons of amazing and unique traditions and as always, we like to go big. One of those traditions is back this summer and it's going to be a sight you won't want to miss. The Great Texas Balloon Race in Longview is this July 26th to the 28th. The event will have everything from live music to a balloon glow and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
Races will take place all three days at 6:45 a.m. which means you'll have to be up pretty early to see them take to the skies - but don't worry, it's totally worth it. Visitors will get to see people from around the world race their insane balloons through the sky. These aren't all just ordinary balloons, as some of them come in the shapes of your favorite TV and movie characters.
The "balloon glow" will take place at night on bothFriday and Saturday, glowing up the sky and making it super beautiful and extra instagrammable. Some of the artists taking the stage during the weekend include Koe Wetzel and Cody Wayne. Tickets for Friday and Saturday are $15 each but entry is free on Sunday.
There will be food and other activities for guests to participate in. Plenty of vendors will be there to show off their best crafts and merch for you to pick from. The event is cash only so we suggest a quick stop at the bank before heading over. You are also allowed to bring your own cooler with snacks but glass is forbidden at the event.
The Great Texas Balloon Race will take place at 200 Airpark Drive in Longview, Texas. For more information, you can check out their website here.
