How many people have had cocktails with samurai?
Dallas has tons of unique places to have amazing drinks. One of the coolest places you can have drinks this month is The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection. On August 29 the museum is having an after-hours cocktail tour. The tour lets you explore the entire collection of awesome samurai all while sipping on your favorite mixed drinks.
UPDATE: Narcity just learned that due to unforeseen circumstances, the After-Hours Cocktail Tour was canceled for August and September. They anticipate continuing the tours in October.
EARLIER: Drinks will come from the restaurant downstairs and they are included with entry. The drinks are a nod to the fact that the building used to be a school, so you'll find drinks like "The Overachiever", "Prom Queen," "Nerd", and "Pop Quiz." The museum will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. staying open late at night for its guests. Visitors of the event will also have a chance to win tons of awesome prizes.
Throughout the museum, you'll be able to see the armor that samurai wore during battle. The museum has a library where you can read what it was like to be a warrior during the time. They also have swords on display but unfortunately, visitors aren't allowed to play with those. With drinks in hand and horses dressed like dragons, the night will truly be something special.
On a normal day,but for this event, they will be charging $15 per person and that includes drinks. You will be able to roam around freely but you there will also be guided tours available.
