Thrill-seekers have no shortage of crazy adventures to keep them busy in the Sunshine State, but there's nothing quite as thrilling as a roller coaster. If you're looking for Florida's most intense roller coasters to try in your lifetime, we have the perfect few in mind.

From upcoming new roller coasters to look forward to, to treetop obstacle courses, you’ll definitely wear yourself out before you hit them all. If you’re looking for a more localized thrill and prefer to stay in the relative safety of the theme parks than, say, free dive with sharks, then this list of 8 of the most intense Florida roller coasters is for you!

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

When: 9a.m. – 8p.m.

Address: Universal Studios

Why You Need To Go: One of the newest additions to Universal, Hagrid’s themed ride just opened this summer and gave fans an amazing experience. With speeds up to 50 mph, and seated on a replica motorbike, the experience feels incredibly lifelike. The 16-foot drop straight down is definitely scream-worthy.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida

When: 9a.m. – 8p.m.

Address: Universal Studios

Why You Need To Go: Definitely not for people with anxiety, this coaster’s buildup is enough to get you screaming before you even take off, with a completely vertical climb up Orlando’s tallest roller coaster. Then you’re falling 17 stories at 65 mph with crazy loops. You can pick your own song to listen to while you ride, but you’ll definitely be too busy screaming to listen.

Manta

When: 10a.m. - 6p.m.

Address: SeaWorld Orlando

Why You Need To Go: When you climb into the Manta harness and it starts to turn you completely inverted, try not to panic. The view will be worth it. You’ll nose-dive head-first over water, barely skimming the surface, and fly over the park at 43 mph.

Expedition Everest

The Incredible Hulk

When: 9a.m. – 8p.m.

Address: Universal Studios

Why You Need To Go: This coaster gets straight to the point and shoots out from zero to 40 mph straight out of the gate, with seven inversions at 67 mph. You may want to make sure you don’t have any speaking gigs the next day, because you can very well go hoarse!
