This Houston Park Turns Into A Ghost Party At Night
A hot spot for humans and spirits.
When you think of cities with haunted spots, older towns with more history probably come to mind, not so much relatively modern cities like Houston. Just because its history might not date back to the Roman Empire doesn't mean this town doesn't have its fair share of spots people believe are haunted. One of its most-visited spots that lots of people don't even know is haunted is a popular Houston park in the heart of the city.
Hermann Park is one of Houston's most popular outdoor areas and is also is one of the city's biggest hotbeds of ghost lore.
The park consists of 445 acres of beautifully landscaped lawns,, and pathways. It's also home to many iconic city sculptures, the Miller Outdoor Theatre, and even the Houston Zoo.
You can wander the haunting pathways alone and see what you can find or if you'd prefer to have a guide, there are also tours.
Houston Ghost Tours knows all about the different lore and the most spooky spots in the massive park.
You can take a tour with them on a nightly basis to explore the spooky grounds. The walking tour starts at 8 p.m. and is about an hour-long so you get to learn a lot about the park's haunted history and see if you can find any spooky sightings.
Tickets for the tour are $14.95 on Fridays through Sundays and are $20 Mondays through Thursdays.
The tour will teach you of the park ground's history of unexplained deaths like an opera singer at the popular outdoor theatre and even a serial killer who used to haunt the park in life and now might after death.
Roaming through the park's pathways under the guise of the night is eerie enough as it is, learning about its haunted history and potentially havingmakes it even spookier!
