With the great chicken sandwhich war this year, one particular group has been left out of all the fun—vegans. While food trucks like Korny Vibes have some good meatless alternatives, they can be hard to find and rely on. But finally, this week, Korny Vibes opened their first storefront in Houston and vegan chicken sandwiches are finally in the running. After hustling around Houston coffee shops and fairs for far too long, Korny Vibes finally had their soft opening on Thursday, right after Christmas. They kept that Christmas spirit alive for all of us! The new brick and mortar location will be open on Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Because just like any good chicken shop, there's a day of sabbath and mourning. It will be stationed in Montrose, but make sure you keep tabs on their Insta if you're planning a visit, as hours may fluctuate. Swipe right for scrumptious vegan food! ➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️ Today I met two of my idols @badassvegan and @domzthompson. These guys are big names in the vegan community and are compassionate, kind, humble human beings. Having a 5 mintue conversation with them almost made me cry because I've been following them for almost 2 years and they inspire me so much. If you hear their story, how they came from a very low point in their life, switched to a vegan lifestyle, literally changed their life. For all you facebookers out there I finally have a Facebook page up and running! @NicksFarmacy check it out!! Follow me on my vegan journey, your support means the world to me🙏🏼 If you haven't tried vegan food yet highly recommend it. The world is changing and I'm so happy to be apart of the change. Away from animal exploitation, eating vibrant foods that is good for your health, the animals and the environment! 🤙🏼🌱🌎🐄 A post shared by Nick De Leon (@nicksfarmacy) on Nov 9, 2019 at 3:22pm PST Korny Vibes serves just about anything (vegan style), but they're especially known for their onion ring sliders, not-poultry poultry, southern-home cooking chicken steak patty sandwich, buffalo ranch chicken, and jalapeño poppers. From Tex-Mex to comfort food, they serve it all. You have to try their delicious-looking empanadas. View this post on Instagram Hey guys! Idk if y’all remember these zucchini & spinach empanadas! We did them a couple of times when starting on our food trailer. Due to the time needed to cook these on the flat top, we had to stop offering them. Super exited we can now serve these at the restaurant! These are gluten and soy free! Whose ready to come eat at @kornyvibes??? A post shared by Korny Vibes (@kornyvibes) on Dec 16, 2019 at 2:38pm PST They'll also be serving vegan desserts from local food vendors at their Montrose location. However, if you plan on stopping by soon, keep in mind that Korny Vibes will be serving up a limited menu as they get their feet off the ground. Apparently, 2020 is a year of going brick and mortar, because popular Mico’s Hot Chicken and Sticky's Chicken are also following suit. If you love vegan food THAT much, then def check out the vegan fest happening in Austin, in February.
