This Free Event Will Turn A Florida Museum Into A Giant Spacey Playground This Weekend
To the moon & the stars!
There's something enchanting about space. The vastness of our galaxy, the twinkling stars in the sky, seeing planets other than our own glowing and floating across the universe, nothing can compare or inspire a feeling of purpose quite like it. If you're looking for free things to do in Florida, look no further than this starry museum night.
The Florida Museum of Natural History will be ruled by the stars this weekend with a free space event that will light up your night with space, art, knowledge, and creativity.
The event will feature multiple stations to learn more about space & the work astronomers do to help us discover more about the galaxy around us. Some stations even give you a chance to enjoy family & adult-friendly interactive games & activities as well as the opportunity to craft your own comet.
Stargazers & space enthusiasts of all kinds will be in love. You can even listen to radio waves to hear the sounds of space, including waves from Jupiter and the Sun.
You can also admire a dreamy space-themed art exhibit, travel through time & space in the cosmic tunnel, crawl into the inflatable planetarium for a sky show, & use professional-grade telescopes to admire stars and other celestial bodies. You never know what you'll see in the sky.
Your adventure through space is sure to work up an appetite; food & drinks will be available for purchase from Hoggtowne Hotdogs, Mayflower Cellars, and Hoggtowne Creamery.
If you're ready for a trip to the moon & stars, the Starry Night at the Museum event will take place on Friday, Nov. 8th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. An overview of the event can be seen below.
