Now you can stay up late with jungle animals at one of the best zoos in the state. The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is hosting a night of witchcraft and wizardry for all the Harry Potter fans.
Throughout the summer, the zoo will be hosting different night events for the family including sports night, game night, and night of witchcraft and wizardry. There will be an adults-only night at the zoo during August and each night will feature live music, food trucks, cash bar, animal encounter and a chance to see animals on exhibit until 8:30 pm.
The Night of Witchcraft and Wizardry will allow guests to learn how to make their own wand, enjoy a house band in Range of the Jaguar and a DJ on the Great Lawn, test your knowledge with trivia about the boy who lived, attend classes about potions, botany, and magical creatures, play games on the lawn, and so much more.
What's better than learning about magic with magical creatures at the zoo? This event will get you up close with animals while testing your magical skills. The event will be hosted from 6:30 pm to 10 pm and it costs $14 for adults and $12 for children.
The adults-only night, "Dancing Through the Decades", will be hosted on August 9.
According to National Geographic, a good zoo provides animal consistent veterinary care and current records. Dan Maloney, the deputy director of animal care and conservation at Florida’s Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, recognizes that the zoo offers consistent care to the animals by trained professionals and no signs of animal abuse.
The zoo is accredited by Association of Zoos & Aquariums until 2020.
