This Pastel Pink Canyon Is Only A 2-Hour Road Trip Away From Las Vegas
It's like a sherbert wonderland.
We believe the color pink should be celebrated every day, not just on Wednesdays. If it's your favorite color, then you should check out this pink canyon in Nevada. It's only a short road trip away from Las Vegas.
The Valley of Fire State Park is known for its vibrant red Aztec sandstone, but there's one part of the park that's our favorite.
Pink Canyon is one of its coolest and hidden features. The unmarked, 2-mile roundtrip trail through the canyon is breathtaking.
The walls are an assortment of pink, orange, tan, and yellow colors. Almost like a pastel swirl.
You can visit the park year-round and there's only a $10 per vehicle entrance fee.
To get here, you'll head towards the Visitor Center and at the split take a left, continuing North on White Domes/Mouse's Tank Road.
About 3.9 miles in, park off on the side of the highway right after you come across the 4th sign reading, "Dip." By this time there should be the opening of the canyon off to the east. You can find more detailed instructions here.
You won't believe your eyes as you walk between the walls. It's like a paradise for explorers who love pink!
The walk is rather short and very easy. The canyon walls can get tight in some areas, but not enough that it would be hard to squeeze through.
Since there are many campgrounds around, you can make aand stay the night at the park. There's a $20 fee plus an additional $10 for sites that have utilities available for hookup.
Whether you love exploring or want to see the canyon for yourself, this state park has a slice of something for everyone.
