Got to feed these little rascals at the rain forest of @monkeyjunglemiami. Still can’t furry believe this really happened. 🙊 Here’s a little challenge for you: Can you say “Totenkopfäffchen”? That’s the German name of these squirrel monkeys. They are a female dominated species, the ladies decide who gets to eat first. And the males least in favor this season only get scraps. 🤷🏼♀️ Holding this cutie made me feel like my childhood hero Pippi Longstocking. She always had a squirrel monkey in a tiny knit sweater called Mr. Nilsson as her animal sidekick. In reality, it’s not a good idea to have these as pets – they are way too wild for a human home. 🦍 The @monkeyjunglemiami takes care of rescue monkeys and lets most of them run around in a huge compound. Humans can watch and feed them from a tunnel cage. Their old silver back gorilla is rescued from a circus. Now he gets to spend his retirement in this all-inclusive-resort. On top of his private island he has a DVD collection which he watches with his own gorilla remote. His favorites are Disney movies and of course – Tarzan! 👉🏼 If you want to feed the squirrel monkeys, you have to book the rainforest adventure tour for $129.95. I know it’s a lot but it truly is a once in a lifetime experience. Of course the rest of the Monkey Jungle is included in that, too! 💾 Save this post for your to-go-list! #friendsofthejungle #monkeyjunglemiami #squirrelmonkeys #primateparadise #miami #soflo #monkeysofinstagram #redlandtropicaltrail #AdventuresInStyle #miami🌴 #miamibound #miamifl #southflorida #soflo #visitmiami #girlsabroad #passportexpress #sheisnotlost #ladiesgoneglobal #traveltales #wanderingsoul #totravelistolive #travelbucketlist #passportpassion #traveldaily #travelbloggerlife #dametravel #citizenfemme #lovefl #visitflorida A post shared by Lisa | Creative & Traveller (@lisa_ventures) on Feb 11, 2020 at 5:44pm PST\nAnimal lovers will also be stoked to know about the Wings of Love project, which invites abandoned pet birds to live on the jungle grounds in large, geodesic domes.\nThis means that you'll actually be supporting a business that gives local animals a home, too!\nAdmission costs $29.95 per adult, which seems pretty reasonable considering the uniqueness of this experience.\nYou can check out the rainforest park any day of the week between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.\nView this post on Instagram Can’t wait until I own one of these little guys .... pretty positive it’ll solve all my problems 🤣💕💓🐒🐵 A post shared by Caitlin Beadles (@caitlinbeadles) on Jan 31, 2020 at 4:32pm PST\nWhether your Patronus is literally a monkey or you're just looking for a cool activity to shake up your weekend, Explore Monkey Jungle is an extraordinarily fun spot to check out with your favorite peeps.\nExplore Monkey Jungle\nPrice: $29.95 per adult\nAddress: 14805 S.W. 216th St., Miami, Florida\nWhy You Should Go: Dive into a whole new world by wandering through this Amazonian paradise.
