You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a Christmas card come to life.

You’ll find Nevada City located 60 miles northeast of Sacramento. This historic town has a population of only 3,000 people and dates back to the Gold Rush era. 

It’s nestled deep within the foothills of the snowy Sierra Nevada mountains. Each year, downtown transforms into the most beautiful scenery. You won't be able to believe your eyes. 

This year’s theme is all about a Victorian Christmas. The town itself is adorable. All of the historic buildings look like they are pulled straight out of a storybook.

The hilly streets are decked out with twinkling white lights shimmering under gas lamps and cheerful carolers walk the streets dressed in their best holiday attire.

The annual Victorian tradition takes place on two Wednesday evenings and three Sundays in December. There is live entertainment, delicious yuletide treats, and even a visit from Santa!

You can also buy plenty of cute handmade souvenirs from vendors on the streets. It's the perfect place to buy gifts for your friends and family.

People love to go all out for the event. You can come dressed up in your best Victorian-style clothes and take plenty of super-cute pics.

As you walk through the downtown area, you’ll be delighted by all of the sights and delicious smells you can find this time of year.

Victorian Christmas is completely free to attend. So, there’s no reason not to swing by. You’ll fall in love with this magical Christmas town.
