This All-New Mardi Gras-Themed Cruise Ship Is Actually An Adult Playground On Water
It has the very first roller coaster at sea!
If you have a love for travel, you probably have a lengthy bucketlist of international adventures. When planning trips, it's super hard to decide where to go next - that's where cruises come in. What if we told you you could take a trip to New Orleans, Italy and several Caribbean countries all in one place? We wouldn't be lying because Carnival Cruise Mardi Gras is the queen of all cruise ships with NOLA- and Italy-inspired zones that will make your trip amazing both on and off the ship.
Carnival Cruise Line will launch a brand new line of ships called "Mardi Gras"in 2020 and it's going to be absolutely insane. The massive ship will have 20 decks and 20 stateroom categories that ensure you won't get bored, even if you tried.
You'll feel like a pampered princess in one of the 180 luxurious suites, the most any Carnival Cruise ship has ever had. The suites are just the tip of the iceberg, though. (Sorry, Titanic. Too soon?)
Six themed zones on the ship will present all new amenities and loads of fun, including "The French Quarter." This NOLA-esque extravaganza will make you feel like you're on Bourbon Street with tons of Cajun-style eateries, bars, live music and a jazz club that will truly paint a picture of The Big Easy.
You can even venture over to Europe at La Piazza, an Italy-inspired zone with two authentic Italian restaurants and a Mediterranean-themed seafood eatery.
Additional zones include Grand Central, Lido and Summer Landing, a backyard BBQ-style area featuring smoked BBQ by Guy Fieri (who has).
Now for the best part (*drum roll*), the Ultimate Playground. Appropriately named, this land of water-filled fun features BOLT, the first ever roller coaster at sea. BOLT is a 80-foot-long coaster that sits 187 feet above sea level and reaches a speed of 40 MPH for a thrilling ocean view ride of adrenaline-inducing adventure.
The Ultimate Playground sits up high on the ship at decks 18 through 20 and includes the massive WaterWorks aqua park and plenty of sea vistas. Relax, drink, splash and play all in one place. At this rate, will you even want to get off the ship?
Over 70% of staterooms have an ocean view or balcony and several vacation-style themes like the tropics-inspired Havana staterooms with outdoor patios and access to open decks with sun loungers, a relaxation pool and a Cuban-themed bar. You'll 100% be living the suite life.
Get ready for summer 2020 when the ships are expected to be ready for boarding. Destinations and pricing will be available in the near future so keep tabs on their website. For more jet-setting advenure, ?
