Stephen King has been traumatizing us ever since we can remember. IT, Carrie, Pet Sematary, and The Shining are just some of the film adaptations that still haunt us to this day. With that being said, we have every reason to praise Stephen King next month for his fantastic works of horror, and we know just how. A horror fest centered around Stephen King is coming to San Antonio just before Halloween, and it's going to be the ultimate spooky celebration.

On Saturday, October 26 at 6 p.m, you're invited to come to Hermann Sons Rathskeller Bar in your scariest costumes for the festival of the season. With IT Chapter Two being released in theaters just days ago, the hype behind Stephen King is more real than ever. There are even haunted houses with new clown attractions opening up this Friday. San Antonio is either feeling like the luckiest city in the world or the most terrified.

At the bar, there will be Stephen King-inspired art everywhere you turn. The hosts are still accepting applications for people's art to be included, so if you think you've got what it takes to have your art on display, contact them ASAP! We believe in you.

There will also be plenty of vendors all offering an array of services. But don't worry, every single one will have something to do with Stephen King. No matter what novel or movie by the King you're a fan of, chances are there'll be something at the fest that brings back all of those eerie childhood memories. Or adulthood, I know I didn't dare dabble in anything Stephen King until recently. Ah!

San Antonio has plenty of great, spooky events coming up next month if you happen to not be a fan of Stephen King's work. Check out a festival centered around Tim Burton movies. Whether you're more a fan of Burton or King, I wouldn't dare miss out on either one. Start planning your costume(s) now.
