This Zoo Near San Antonio Just Welcomed Two Rare White Lion Cubs
There's only 300 left in the world!
It seems like every day we're hearing of a new animal species nearing extinction, and it's absolutely tragic. The silver lining in all of this is that there are places who make it a priority to give the remaining of the animal species the ability to regroup and thrive. Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo in New Braunfels, Texas is one of the many places that stand by helping animals recover in captivity to avoid extinction.
Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo has the cutest animals in all of Texas, by far. If having "snake" in the title is throwing you off, don't let it! (Though there are quite a few of those!) I mean, have you seen the two white lion cubs they just debuted after their birth earlier this year? The cubs, named Nzuri and Kali, are going to be protected to make sure they were able to grow up to see adulthood.
*Though white lions are quite a rare sight to see in nature, they just show a recessive gene and are not a different species than regular lions.
The white lion cubs will be available to be seen from 10 AM to 12 PM and at 5:30 PM during the adorable "Little Safari" show, fit for all ages. Nzuri and Kali are steadily growing and becoming a part of the beloved Animal World family.
The white lion cubs aren't the only cute creatures the zoo has, there's plenty each and every way you turn. From otters to sloths and even camels, it's like stepping into a jungle/safari combo! Though you are able to interact with some of the animals, you won't be able to pet or hold all of them for safety purposes.
This incredible New Braunfels zoo is open from 10 AM to 7 PM daily and is only $12.75 per person to visit. A small price for a huge day filled with animals, friends, and more pictures than you can imagine. New Braunfels may be a small city, but it's home to some of the biggest things you can imagine.
