Since 1893 this farm has been an attraction for tourists looking for a thrilling experience. Besides being located in the oldest city in America, St. Augustine Alligator Farm is an accredited zoo offering guests a zip-line attraction like no other. The historic farm houses hundreds of alligators, crocodiles, venomous snakes and other wildlife; dubbing it the "Largest Alligator Farm in the World." In 2011, the farm opened a one-of-a-kind experience called Crocodile Crossing, providing visitors the opportunity to zip over the entire park and see wildlife through a new perspective. The farm focuses on educating its guests about crocodiles and luring them to learn more about Florida's wildlife. View this post on Instagram Our first day in St. Augustine, we visited the @staugalligatorfarm. The farm started as an attraction in 1893! It is now a zoological park accredited by the AZA and they employ some really fantastic and knowledgeable experts. Ray even got to help the keepers of the young croc/ gator exhibit identifying some injured animals needing attention when he saw a small caiman have its tail bit off! If you watch the videos you can see why we did not let the girls try out the zip lines over the exhibits despite G’s many repeated requests.
