This is not a sight to be missed.
If you’re hoping for a bit of that magical leprechaun luck, you’ll be stoked to know that you won’t have to travel farther than Florida to feel it. This March, the Sunshine State will be feeling some major Irish vibes, thanks to a huge St. Patrick’s Day festival in Tampa that will take over downtown in the most colorful way: by dying the river a bright shade of Kelly green. Are you ready to feel the luck of the Irish?
Mayor’sis a huge riverside celebration that will give you the chance to explore the city’s waterways in a whole new light.
Since the event is happening at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, you’ll have super easy access to some of the most stunning views of the emerald waters.
Wander along the river walk, snap some photos, or even get to see the shades of color up-close by climbing aboard one of the local water taxis.
There may be no better way to dive into that contagious.
Grab your bestie, your bae, or your whole squad and hang out by one of the most unique displays in the area.
If you are looking for that authentic Irish experience, you should definitely know that there will be beer stands with drinks imported from Ireland.
A number of food trucks will also be around, and although the exact line-up still hasn’t been announced, we are hoping for plenty of holiday-themed treats.
The official dyeing of the river will take place on Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m.
Even though the festival will be on until 5 p.m., you won't want to miss that first moment when green swirls come crawling into the dark river waters.
Plus, festival attendance is totally free, which means you can have a great time without breaking the bank.
Whether you're in the mood for a unique St. Patty’s Day celebration, or just want to see an incredible view of the river, the River O’Green fest will be a day to remember.
