Long gone are the days of VW buses and hippie pants everywhere - but some of us flower children may be feeling like we were born in the wrong era, and some of us would have loved to experience Woodstock. You can get groovy and celebrate love & peace at a free Hippie Festival in Tarpon Springs this August.

This far-out festival is going to be full to the brim with stuff to do all day. From contests to VW bus & car shows, to entertainment and vendors, it'll be like reliving the past at a mini Florida Woodstock or UC Berkely.

You can shake your groove thang the whole afternoon through too - with live musical entertainment giving those 70s and 80s vibes, you'll want to wear your dancing shoes. Everyone will be dancin' in the streets. Street performers will also be present for a little extra fun.

If you find you need a bite to eat while at Hippie Fest, multiple food truck vendors will be available. You'll also be right on the Sponge Docks, where you can shop or hit up another restaurant for some grub.

Don your best-tie-dyed hippie gear and participate in the costume contest, or test your hula hoopin' skills at the hula hoop contest - prizes will be awarded to the winners of each, so be sure to go all-out to be the most far-out hippie in the land!

Whether you participate in the contests, simply come to enjoy the retro VW bus show, tunes, food or want to celebrate peace and love - you'll have a groovy time at Tarpon's little Hippie festival this summer.
