Fall is coming up next month, and each year our autumn bucket list grows longer and longer. It's the season of pumpkin spice, snuggly sweaters, cinnamon candles and scary movies, which collectively put us in the mood to spend our days outside in the crisp air. You can pick apples in Georgia at this orchard full of countless goodies that will definitely add several check marks to your fun fall to-do list.

Hillcrest Orchards in Ellijay is a massive market, farm and apple-picking frenzy full of enough fun to fill your entire day for only $8. At the historical orchards, established in 1908, there is something to do for everyone, from adult-sized slides to cuddling kittens and baby goats.

First and foremost, you can get in the mood for fall by picking your own fresh apples from hundreds of trees at the orchard. Apple-picking starts Sept. 7 and goes through the end of October (weekends only). You can get a half peck for $8 or a full peck for $14 (which is about 13 pounds of apples). Choose from eight types including golden delicious, pink lady and candy crisp. You can also get lost in the fall air on the south's first ever apple tree maze.

The real fun begins when you venture to the petting zoo, where you can actually interact with and hold the animals. You will have the opportunity to snuggle with tiny kittens and baby goats. You can also go down the 50-foot adult slide to truly bring out the kid in you. There's also bungee jumping for only $8, that's an absolute steal.

Given that you will likely want to spend your whole day here, you'll likely get hungry. They have a grill and a cafe offering fresh homemade snacks and meals including BBQ sandwiches, grilled chicken on stick, fried oreos and fresh apple cider doughnuts. Yes, we're wishing we can teleport here too.

You can also take some goodies home from their massive market that offers homemade treats like jams and apple butter.

The fun doesn't stop there because there are over 30 attractions all embodied in one place. While you're cuddling kittens, riding slides and eating fresh doughnuts, make sure you check out the mini golf, pig races and the moonshine museum. The visitor's guide will show you everything you need to know.
