Biking Down This Florida Park Will Take You On A Scenic Adventure Of A Lifetime
Take the road less traveled.
This summer you can enjoy a ride through the wilderness in one of Florida's best state parks. Fort Clinch State Park is a 1,400-acre pristine park with massive living oaks that will take you through a beautiful scenic paradise.
This park has the most amazing scenery for your biking adventures and it's known for its gopher tortoises, painting buntings and several other species of wildlife. This place is a must stop for your next road trip.
Additionally, Fort Clinch has a lot of history. During the first weekend of every month, there is a soldier that fires cannons and demonstrates other battlefield skills.
But the park features more than just a fort. This park has many trails featuring maritime hammocks with massive arching live oaks - making it the perfect backdrop for your scenic pictures and next travel adventure.
The park is expansive with many hiking trails and the fort has a lot of brick rooms, tunnels, and pathways. If you enjoy mountain biking, this can become one of your favorite spots. You can do a self-tour of the fort and the park while exploring its other exits.
You can visit the park daily from 8 am until sundown. The fort is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Each vehicle pays a $6 fee and if you want to go camping, it is $26 per night.
Fort Clinch State Park is located at 2601 Atlantic Ave. Fernandina Beach FL 32034.
