When looking for the perfect nature spot to explore, the summertime always gets us looking for spots with cool water and shady trees. There is a fantastic spot to go for a nice trip out on a nature hike in New Mexico with beautiful waterfalls and lush greenery. You won't want to leave once you arrive, which is perfect since there's a campsite not too far away from it! Head out to the Jemez Mountains to find the simple less than a mile hike that will lead you to the Jemez Falls Overlook. This area is home to the highest falls in the area that you can admire. The Jemez Falls trailhead that will lead you to the waterfalls starts at Jemez Falls Campground inside the Santa Fe National Forest. The trek is about 1/4 of a mile long and is perfect for all skill levels. The area is popular for hiking and strolling and it gets the most visitors from April to October.
